Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

The chibi-heroes moved towards the manor house unmolested, though they did attract a lot of attention. The older people seemed mostly confused, but left the non-threatening group alone, instead focusing on their tasks. The children reacted much differently, however, many briefly following along the ...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

In fact, all did seem to go as planned. Somewhere, under his beard, Woten was probably reasonably adorable.. though it was hard to say precisely, since his face was lost under a bushy mess of hair and thick eyebrows that moved independently of the his face. Rowan, as well, was a very drastic change....

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

While the rest of the discussed how to approach matters, Seti moved and dodged in the shadows of buildings. By the reactions of the townsfolk, he could only assume that he was successful in remaining unseen. Rowan and the rest, on the other hand, could quite plainly see the ranger, his garb standing...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

"You lot want to put in, there's lots to be done. There's a small patch of juniper trees up and around on the north of the island. Could use kindling or berries. Shovel peat for the fires. Haul rocks from the crags. Doesn't matter, long as you're doing something." The man pointed in directions, at l...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

The strange northlander, who acted very unlike the hardy, proud people of the north normally did, stared at them perhaps a little too long before responding. If he noticed any discomfort among the heroes, he didn't seem to indicate it in any way. "Most folks here were shipwrecked, or their ancestors...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

"Harm? Why would anyone mean any harm, here?" The man replied... in a surprisingly neutral tone. He seemed neither receptive of the goodwill the group was showing, nor was he surprised at their appearance, or offended by their offers to help. Turning his head to regard Naia almost mechanically, with...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

Woten's bid to gain attention worked, though the stance of the people was.. yet unclear. Many kept wandering about their daily lives, hauling stone or repairing this or that, or handing out food. The last.. seemed to be mostly cabbage soup, from the smell - both off of the cookpots and from the peop...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

Regrouped, and in a proper marching order fit for any dungeon crawl, the heroes moved forward. Rei and Seti had a much easier time identifying the traps, and leading the group away from them. Then... Sproing! Sproing! The crude sheep like abominations, looking as though they were pulled from the pro...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

Fortunately, the potion was enough to put Naia back on her feet, though not without leaving her ankles stiff and sore. She was still capable of walking, but running or dodging might be a little more difficult and painful. Indeed, it seemed that the purpose behind these traps was more leaning towards...

Re: The Venture to Brumeveil Isle

The combined efforts of Rowan and Woten were easily enough to get the Crusader out of the pit. The Shoebill had nothing to fear from landing in the hole - the jagged rocks were no real risk to stand on, especially for a bird. Falling was that hazard, really. That she was up was enough, so she could ...
